WTF? #$&@$!!
You are no doubt dying to know why this site has been displaying in un-themed HTML and now has only the most basic of characteristics.
Well, someone (a vandal) replaced part of my theme/presentation code with spam. This knocked everything out of whack. And as I am incompetent, I must rely upon one of America’s great young political and policy talents and his very limited free time to address these problems.
You can read it. That’s what counts. We’ll work on getting the neat “eye from the dollar bill” header back, as well as some of the cute features of the old design. But it may be a bit.

Caging the Politico
I’m quoted in this story about voter caging and young voters. That hasn’t really been the focus of the debate, but apparently this writer’s focus is usually on “youth” issues, which accounts for the direction of the article.

Plastic Bag Trees
It’s been a long winter back here, but this audio from the wonderous Dayvid Figlar reminded me that some things are even more irritating than 3-month wet red clay sticking to your shoes. Namely, relentless wind and plastic-bag trees.

PressTV!
It’s here! It’s pretty! And its Iranian! Operating as “Atlantic Television News” out of a studio on K street, its producers attract fine US guests to talk about our troubled country. Like the photogenic Michael McDonald, discussing whether American has a free press. Or yours truly, commenting on what the Eliot Spitzer scandal says about American politics (not posted yet).
ATN isn’t really all that clear about the whole Iran thing, actually. And their staff is friendly and professional, with a number of Americans wandering around.
So what should one do when asked to appear? I’ve decided it is better to go, and speak well of my country, then stay away and have them use a guest who may not care what impression they make.

The Deadwood Report
The Green Bag, source of all that is wonderful in legal scholarship (with offices just down the hall!) has a new endeavor. (The announcement is on SSRN, here.)
Various Green Bag staff are now sporting bodyguards and employing food-tasters. So don’t even think about it.

It’s “Not So Super” Tuesday!
Go vote! For whomever you like. If you’re voting in Virginia, those options are a bit more plentiful, since we don’t register by party here.
That Sound you Heard
Was my loyal laptop breaking. I can repair it, but it won’t be the same. For one, it won’t have any data on it.
When I say “breaking” I mean it.
Anyhow, as a result blogging has been a little difficult. But we should be able to offer a work-around in the short-term.
