Thanks for visiting! I am Allison Hayward, an assistant professor of law at George Mason Law School. My family and I live in suburban Washington DC, although I am originally from Las Vegas and also spend some time in Cambria, California.

But it was not always thus. I’ve worked at the FEC for Former Chairman and Commissioner Bradley A. Smith, a couple of law firms, and two positions on Capitol Hill. In my “misspent youth” I served as staff in the California Legislature, and managed a (losing) campaign for state assembly.

I am married to the Skeptical Spouse, and have two children, Anomie and Ennui. (Not their real names.)
