A major California fundraiser for a Clinton turns out to have funnelled contributions through straw donors. And now he’s fled overseas. (He was a permanent resident alien, but he decided to be a big help by making contributions out of his corporation via friends and whatnot. Big help, that.)
Happens every decade, I guess. Maybe its tied to El Nino.
I had a great time with the Election Law Society at William & Mary’s Law School yesterday. They are a wonderful group with lots of energy and ideas.
It wouldn’t be bad if students at other law schools followed their lead and started chapters of a Society. They’ve managed to put together a multipartisan team of members with genuine interest in the craft of campaign finance and political regulation. Good group, great symposium. Thanks for having me!
. . . sitting in a tree . . . well, you know the rest.
I’m talking there Friday March 2! (Tomorrow. Eek) With this guy and this other guy (note: hilarious link on the second one. How come I don’t rate a Sourcewatch bio? Huh?).
Reportedly the students are excited. That suggests not much happens in Williamsburg.
